Smith College
BIO 132 - Molecules, Cells, and Systems
As part of my Mellon fellowship, I've had the pleasure of co-teaching with several instructors during my time at Smith, including an intro bio course with Dr. Michael Barresi. For our remote Fall 2020 semester, we developed a semester-long team project where students applied their developing knowledge about biology to communicate the latest science on COVID-19 for general audiences. We were blown away with what the students came up with, and their worked proved so exciting that the college wrote a short story about the project.
In addition to other writing assignments, students also create a podcast on a topic or research article related to animal communication. Check out our podcast site below! (image = link)
